Our friends always asked if we will be travelling north so to get them “pasalubong” when we get back to the city. A special mention of “bibingka” – a so called rice cake in english (or it’s variety), it is indeed delicious and cheap here in Bibingkahan sa Catmon. It is located in Macaas and boundary of Catmon Daan, towns of Catmon. If you’re coming from the city, it can be seen few minutes after passing Recuerdo Beach Resort, on the left side.

Buying from the car or bus

If you are from the city, you can park your car beside the highway and you have to walk across since that’s on the left side. If you are returning to the city, you can just simply slowly pull over (no need to dis-embark) near to any of the stalls. Say how many quantities you’re going to purchase and they’ll happily packed it for you fast. There is really no stopping here, just a few minutes and then you have to go. The street is bit curvy so kinda blind spot for fast vehicles.

Cost per pack

Each pack cost 20 pesos and there are 4pcs of bibingka inside. Usually we will be buying 5 packs, that’s worth 100 pesos. They’re generous enough and add extra 2 pcs.

Enjoy eating

Enjoy eating while riding and oh make sure you still have packs of bibingka left, your friends were eagerly waiting.. not for you but for the bibingka! 🙂
