DITO, a 3rd major telco in the Philippines is finally here. DITO starts putting up structures and servers and main cables towards the end of last year and now in May of 2021, they are operational and selected provinces within the Philippines enjoy already the service. If the plan goes well, remaining 67 provinces or composed atleast 50% nationwide will enjoy the service as well by June of same year.
Below are the official provinces listed from DITO as of May 2020. In Cebu, we have the towns nearer to Cebu City covered first. Cebu City, Lapu-lapu, Cordova. Then northwards is Mandaue City, Consolation, Liloan, Compostela and Danao City. Southwards are Talisay City, Minglanilla, Naga City, San Fernando and Carcar City. On the westpart, they have Toledo City, Balamban, Barili and Dumanjug.

They’re offering faster but cheaper telecommunication services specially data plans which is very useful for people working remotely, students home study and freelancers.
Where to get DITO Sim
You can buy it from Lazada or Shoppee. But we have also seen in Facebook Market place. Just make sure you’re buying from legit sellers.
DITO supports next-gen technology with VoLTE, means there could be gadgets which may not work with DITO. Make sure you’re phone or handsets are supported before purchasing sim. Here is the list from DITO compatible handsets list.
If you critically depend on connection by telecommunications provider for work, study or whatever, streaming, etc.. you might always consider having a backup.
