Sibonga is around 50 kilometers away from the city and takes about 2 hour travel. Sibonga is becoming popular due to Simala, a town of Sibonga where the most visited shrine of Mother Mary is located. Sibonga is becoming a big town in fact back of the plaza near seaside is constructed and developed like that of Naga.
Sibonga rooted its name from “bonga”, the local name of betel nuts, whose trees were abundant in the area.
While the Simala Shrine is the main attraction why people flock here, there are beautiful spots as well for your next stop over.
